Company

On behalf of our client – a fast-growing high-tech company in the field of power electronics located at Lake Constance (Bodensee), Germany – we are looking for a Development Engineer for Power Electronics (m/f/d).

With your expertise and ideas, you ensure that new, high-quality products meet the requirements of demanding customers. The technical scope is deliberately broad: it ranges from innovative analog and digitally controlled power supplies to demanding high-voltage applications – such as tube-based radar systems. Depending on your focus and the ongoing projects, you take ownership from architecture through to commissioning of the first units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture design of power supplies – from analog and digitally controlled systems to high-voltage supplies (e.g. for tube-based radar applications)
  • System engineering and detailed circuit design of the defined architecture
  • Design of control algorithms
  • Validation of the detailed design through simulation, analysis and breadboarding
  • Supervision of the PCB layout as well as definition of guidelines for PCB layout, mechanical 3D layout and potting/encapsulation processes
  • Definition of commissioning and test procedures as well as design of the test setup
  • Commissioning and testing of the first units
Requirements
  • Successfully completed engineering, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics
  • Sound knowledge of DC/DC converters; experience with high-voltage DC/DC converters is an advantage
  • Professional experience in power electronics and circuit design
  • Good written and spoken English is required; German language skills are an advantage
Perspective
  • Responsibility in a modern, growth-oriented high-tech company - flat hierarchies and open culture
  • Attractive, performance-based compensation, a modern company pension scheme and numerous extras (e.g. job-bike, meal subsidy, EV charging)
  • Attractive location at Lake Constance – one of Germany's most beautiful regions – with modern, ergonomic workplaces
